Swimsuit Motivation

Got Motivation?

Motivation is the energy and commitment to get something done.

Motivational Interviewing is a way to have a conversation with yourself or someone else that helps support the energy to get something done. Especially something difficult.

Many of us are engaged in these kinds of inner and outer dialogs on a daily basis.

Want to Get Better at Supporting Motivation?

In our 3rd Motivational Interviewing workshop, we will be exploring the basic technique of OARS. OARS is the bread and butter of the Interviewing technique. When I first heard what OARS was I thought I knew it already, but the practice proved more challenging than the picture in my mind. And it is the basis for not only good helping, but good friendship:

Open-ended questioning
Affirming
Reflecting
Summarizing

This is a great class to jump in on!

Even though we are providing these classes in a series, you can still jump in. And this would be a great one to come to. Lots of practical application, lots of practice. You will know the basics by the end of this class.

Who is this for?

Anyone who wants to bring change into their own life or the life of others. Many professionals are taking the class, but the applications are useful for the general public as well. Continuing Education contact hours are available for LPCs, RNs, and SWs.

Our Motivational Interviewing workshops series continues:

Thursday, March 21, 9am - noon
at the Unity Church on Bridge Road in Charleston
The cost is only $30 for the 3 hour session

Join us if you can!
