The Charleston Chapter of Hadassah has revived the "Taste of Jewish Cuisine".  It was started in 2000 and held for five years.  Many Charlestonians have asked if and when we would do it again.

 

AGAIN is here!  Lynn Meyer and her committee are planning a tasty meal, with the Jewish flare.

Hadassah, a Zionist organization, was founded in 1912.  It has over 300,000 members, including male associates.  Hadassah has sent physicians into the jungles of Africa and the first medical assiatance into the battle zones of Kosovo.  It has built dams, seeded forest, consulted with kings, presidents and prime ministers.  It has raised well over a billion dollars, build a world-renown medical center, a college of technology and supports a youth education movement.  It has defined the role of women in the creation of the Zionist movement and the State of Israel.

 

In the United States, Hadassah helps strengthen American democracy through a program of information and study designed to awaken its members to their civic responsibility and an awareness of the issues of the day.  American benefit from Hadassah support to medicine, due to its cutting edge in medical research for various diseases and conditions.

 

In Israel, the lush green forest whispers a breeze because of Hadassah; a field is fruitful because of Hadassah; a baby see a flower because of Hadassah; a youngster walks because of Hadassah; a teenager hears a sibling's laughter because of Hadassah; an adult receives hope because of Hadassah; a senior citizen spends his/her days incomfort because ofr Hadassah and water flows more freely because of Hadassah.
