It was good to meet you all

It was good to meet you all last Wednesday. I appreciate the level
the sharing within the group.

I caught that the pattern is to advance a day each month, rotating
Tues-Wed-Thurs. As I look at my calendar, unfortunately, I have
commitments for the next two months. In May 3-6, I will be
representing this presbytery at our Board of Pensions regional meeting
in Philadelphia, and May 30 - June 6, I will be on vacation!

I hope we can continue to stay in touch using this Google groups
method.

Blessings to you all!

OBSERVANCES IN HONOR OF UBB VICTIMS

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

Communications Office – Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 1, 2011

Contact: Jacqueline Proctor
304-558-2000

GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES STATEWIDE OBSERVANCES
IN HONOR OF UBB VICTIMS
On April 5, 2011 at 3:01 p.m.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –Today Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin issued a proclamation
proclaiming Tuesday, April 5, 2011, as a day of prayer and remembrance for the
twenty-nine men who were killed at the Upper Big Branch Mine one year ago.
The proclamation also includes a request for statewide observances to occur
starting at 3:01 p.m. in honor of the victims.

"One year ago, 29 hard working miners perished," Gov. Tomblin said. "In their
memory, I request that every church in our state ring its bell 29 times at 3:01
p.m. which is the estimated time of the deadly explosion. At that moment, I
ask all West Virginians to observe a moment of silence for all miners who have
perished and for those who continue to work in harm's way."

On April 5th, the Governor will pay tribute to the UBB miners by laying a wreath
at the Miner's Statue on the State Capitol grounds. Later that evening, the
Governor will participate in a memorial service with the UBB victims' families.
Additional details regarding both events will be forthcoming.
