Reminder: Upgrade tonight!

Does your God-concept need an upgrade?

A course taught by Rabbi Jim Cohn

on selected Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:30

at Temple Israel, 2312 Kanawha Blvd. E.

Open to the public

Rabbi Jim Cohn will teach an Adult Education course starting October 26, using Rabbi Jamie Korngold's The God Upgrade as the text. The course is open to the public. The subject is the rich variety of ideas about God that have evolved in the Jewish continuum, infused with Rabbi Korngold's energetic commitment to a fresh, reality-based view of God and the universe. The course will be of interest to believers, unbelievers, not-so-sure-about-things-ers, and anyone looking for a dynamic view of the religious enterprise.  Jews and non-Jews will benefit from the program. A copy of the book will be available for purchase at the first meeting. You can find a sample chapter of the book on the Temple's website www.templeisraelwv.org.

The course will take place on selected (but not all) Wednesday evenings at 7:00, starting on October 26.  A full schedule appears below.  Feel free to attend some sessions if you can't attend all.  Please check the Temple website and voicemail for announcements of any weather-related cancellations.

Rabbi Jamie Korngold, author of The God Upgrade, will be visiting our congregation to present a program on Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m.
