Sky,
Could you please send this around the horn to our CARLA group?  Thanks.

Greetings, colleagues.

I was quite amazed today when our bookkeeper at the Church brought to my office a tax bill from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, for an assessment of real estate taxes on the parsonage, in which I live.  It is owned by the church, for the senior pastor.  Taxes have never been assessed on it, and taxes have never been paid on it.

I am curious if this has happened with any of you, who live in homes provided by the Church, or if Saint Marks is being singled out for special treatment.

Please let me know of your current standing in this tax situation.  Email at SheepdogfortheShepherd@msn.com.

Thanks.

(Matthew 12:36 says: I tell you, on the day of judgment, you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter; ...) Therefore, I try to speak and write accordingly.
