I am attaching (and will also copy into this e-mail) information about
FestivALL Charleston 2009. I hope you can use all or part of this in
your church bulletins.
ALSO, could you please send this out to other churches that you might have
on your e-mail list and to anyone else you think might like to have this information.
It's structured to be used in bulletins, newsletters and on websites. Again...all
or in part. However you use and/or disseminate it, please include the Festivall
website and contact phone number.

FESTIVALL CHARLESTON INFORMATION
FOR BULLETINS, NEWSLETTERS AND WEBSITES
FestivALL Charleston 2009, which runs from June 19 through June 28, celebrates its 5th year with a happily eclectic array of events for the whole family. The first weekend features Mountain Stage with blues great Buddy Guy, the West Side Weiner Dog Races, the West Side Ice Cream Social, and 'Smoke-on-the-Water' – Charleston Chili Cook-off. The second weekend offers a cornucopia of entertainment with everything from the Capitol Street Art Fair, Blues, Brews and BBQ, Wine and All That Jazz, to Sing-along 'Sound of Music' and the Kanawha County Public Library Street Fair with scores of activities for kids and adults alike.
Charlestonians Ann Magnuson and Susan Johnston, who have made names for themselves nationally in the theatre world, will be 'coming back home' to showcase their work. Magnuson's piece, commissioned by FestivALL, is called 'Back Home Again (Dreaming of Charleston)'. Johnston won this year's 'L.A. Weekly' Theater Award as Best Play Write for 'How Cissy Grew', which will have a staged reading with the original Los Angeles cast during FestivALL. Both are more appropriate for mature audiences.
The majestic sternwheeler River Queen cruises up and down the Kanawha throughout the 10 days, while art, theatre, music and dance reverberate throughout the streets and halls of Charleston.
